New ‘Do Not Call’ Registry – Can’t Hurt to Try?

Do Not Call in Israel lets almost everyone call

Israel has finally officially opened a Do Not Call registry to prevent spam.

To register your phone number in the registry, you can sign up with the form at the official website
You can also sign up on their Whatsapp channel. And another option is to call the hotline at 1-800-071-170.
Using the website linked above you can also file complaints for being spammed.
Perusing the information on the website this is basically to stop businesses from calling you without your permission. It does not affect politicians calling you campaigning for elections, and it does not stop organizations calling you for donations, and it does not apply to people taking surveys. This only applies to businesses spamming you (under certain conditions).
Sorry to say, but with the exceptions being the bulk of the telephone spam there is not much of a point to this registry.
And, now even if they go ahead and sell their list to a bunch of spammers, it probably does not even matter, considering the law doesnt apply to most spammers.

Different ‘OPINIONS’ Explaining the Chanuka Miracle?!

No.

Since Chazal were somewhat vague (because it doesn’t matter!), and I think there is one other primary source, what we have 2,978.008 of are bald GUESSES.

  • Did the same oil last longer?
  • The miracle was they didn’t give up trying?
  • Did the jug keep refilling?
  • Maybe the jug never emptied, like with Elisha?
  • Did they put in a 1\8 for eight days?
  • Maybe it was the wind in the Chatzer?
  • Or…?

Some guesses are clever, some less so, some rhyme, some don’t, some have big names… that is all.

Nothing wrong with guessing, the same way nothing is (generally) wrong with Derush, despite the rule: אין משיבין על ההגדות.

כל פיטטיא בישין ופיטטיא דאורייתא טבין. כל כדבייא בישין וכדבייא דאורייתא טבין.

And yet, “Not everything one thinks should be said, not everything one says should be written, not everything one wrote should be published”. “Every thing in its proper place”, in a hierarchy of value.

So, we don’t have various “opinions” (as though our perfect tradition is some Broken Telephone game). We have Chazal which is canon. Nothing more.

מתוך מאמר מורנו הרב יצחק ברנד שליט”א, בכותרת המשנה: מכירת יוסף בדורנו הוא מכירת ארץ ישראל בגשמיות וברוחניות

עי’ זוהר (חדש דף ל”ו, מובא בהגהות ספר ‘קול התור’ עמוד 24 אות 29) שאריכות הגלות בגלל החטא של מכירת יוסף. הנה בזמננו התקיימה וממשיך להתקיים בעוה”ר חטא של מכירת יוסף שזה מכירת א”י בשני אופנים.

אחד, מסירת חלקי ארץ ישראל לגוים, כי כל יסוד של ישוב א”י הוא כלול ביוסף. כמו שמבואר בכל ספר ‘קול התור’, (מר’ הלל ריבלין על פרקי הגאולה של רבו הגר”א שהיא עבודת משיח בן יוסף) ע”פ המדרש תנחומא (פר’ ויגש) “שכל מה שאירע ליוסף אירע לציון”, וכלול בתוכו גם באופן פרטי מסירת קבר יוסף לישמעאלים, כי זה עוד יותר ניכר שזה מכלל מכירת יוסף בדורנו. וכלולים בזה כל מי שמשתתף באיזה דרך שהיא בחורבן יישובים, בין שיתוף בממשלה, או חייל שאינו מסרב פקודה, וכל אלו שמורים להם לעשות כך.

שנית, מכירת ארץ ישראל כדי לנסות להפקיע שביעית, אסור מהרבה טעמים. [א] משום שהמכירה לא חל, שאין בו גמירות דעת. [ב] משום שגם בקרקע של גוי אסור לעבוד. [ג] יש איסור ספיחים גם בקרקע של גוי כשהשדה תחת יד ישראל. [ד] משום שאסור להפקיע מצוות אפילו דרבנן. [ה] חטא נורא של מכירת ארץ ישראל שהוא החטא הנורא של מכירת יוסף שמאריך הגלות. עי’ לקמן באריכות פרטים אלו.

ומה שאינו חל, אין זה מבטל חטא הנורא של מכירת א”י, שהרי גם מכירת יוסף לא חל באמת, וכן מה שנא’ בתורה (שמות פרק כא פסוק טז) “וְגֹנֵב אִישׁ וּמְכָרוֹ”, אין כאן חלות מכירה, ובכל זאת חייב מיתה. אלא עצם העובדא שמתנהגים אח”כ כאילו נמכר, זה החטא הנורא, אף כאן מתנהגים עם א”י כאילו נמכר.

הנה מספרים בלשון מליצה, שנתאספו שלשה רבנים, אחד רפורמי, אחד קונסרבטיבי, ואחד אורטודוכסי, לדון על שאלה האם מותר לעשן, שהרי זה מזיק לבריאות ובעיקר לריאות. ענה הריפורמי, אין בעיה, אדם צריך להנות מן החיים, ומה שיקרה אחר כך אין לו לדאוג עכשיו. ענה הקונסרבטיבי, יש באמת בעיה, אולם אי אפשר לאסור הכל רק צריך לצמצם העישון. ענה האורטודוכסי, הבעיה באמת מאוד רצינית, כי יש בו משום חיוב ושמרתם את נפשותיכם, אולם יש עצה, שימכור הריאות שלו לגוי, ואם חושש גם ללב, ימכור גם את לבו לגוי, ואז יכול להמשיך לעשן בלי שום בעיה…

וכעת אנחנו שואלים, שאחד מן הרפואה של א”י הוא לשמור שביעית, וא”י צריך לנוח בשנת השביעית, האם כך מרפאים אותה ע”י שמוכרים אותה לגוי וממשיכים לעובדה כרגיל?!

תיקון לחטא מכירת יוסף בדורנו

צריך לחדש כעת רוח של ‘התנחלות’ בצורה אמיתית, שמצד אחד מוסרים נפש למען א”י ולא לתת שום חלק לגוים, ומצד שני שומרים שביעית כהלכתו בלי שום מכירה או הפקעה אחרת. וזה מתאפשר ע”י הצטרפות מעלות ציבור החרדי עם מעלות ציבור הדתי בנושא א”י.

As an Oncologist I Am Seeing People With Stable Cancer Rapidly Progress After Being Forced to Have a Booster

There follows a letter from Dr. Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at St George’s University of London, to Dr. Kamran Abbasi, the Editor in Chief of the BMJ. It was written in support of a colleague’s plea to Dr. Abbasi that the BMJ make valid informed consent for Covid vaccination a priority topic.

Dear Kamran Abbasi,

Covid no longer needs a vaccine programme given the average age of death of Covid in the U.K. is 82 and from all other causes is 81 and falling.

The link with clots, myocarditis, heart attacks and strokes is now well accepted, as is the link with myelitis and neuropathy. (We predicted these side effects in our June 2020 QRBD article Sorensen et al. 2020, as the blast analysis revealed 79% homologies to human epitopes, especially PF4 and myelin.)

However, there is now another reason to halt all vaccine programmes. As a practising oncologist I am seeing people with stable disease rapidly progress after being forced to have a booster, usually so they can travel.

Even within my own personal contacts I am seeing B cell-based disease after the boosters. They describe being distinctly unwell a few days to weeks after the booster – one developing leukaemia, two work colleagues Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and an old friend who has felt like he has had Long Covid since receiving his booster and who, after getting severe bone pain, has been diagnosed as having multiple metastases from a rare B cell disorder.

I am experienced enough to know that these are not the coincidental anecdotes that many suggest, especially as the same pattern is being seen in Germany, Australia and the USA.

The reports of innate immune suppression after mRNA for several weeks would fit, as all these patients to date have melanoma or B cell based cancers, which are very susceptible to immune control – and that is before the reports of suppressor gene suppression by mRNA in laboratory experiments.

This must be aired and debated immediately.
