Chananya Weissman – At Least Don’t Collaborate With Your Sworn Enemies!

Stop Supporting Your Enemies

Even people who are generally aware that the Jewish people have enemies on the inside who collaborate with enemies on the outside — whether for profit, power, or plain malice for Torah-true Jews — remain in denial about the extent of their evil and to what degree these traitors have infiltrated our nation. It is safe to say that there is no aspect of our communal life that is not deeply influenced, if not mostly controlled, by Erev Rav.

This problem did not begin yesterday, and it won’t be solved in a day, but we cannot begin to address it if we don’t acknowledge it and take it seriously. Torah-true Jews talk a good game about protecting themselves and their children from foreign influences that are antithetical to the Torah, and I believe most of them are sincere, but they remain blissfully ignorant to how much spiritual poison they are inviting into their lives — and even paying handsomely for the privilege. We are personally supporting the very people and entities who work day and night to destroy us from within.

We cry foul that the pseudo-Jewish corporation known as the State of Israel sends “aid” to our enemies, even as they pretend to fight a war against them, but when we support Erev Rav institutions, are we not doing quite the same?

I’ve spent the last few years exposing various such institutions, and urging the community to separate from them. We cannot necessarily put them out of business — after all, they are richly funded by the government, large corporations, and other spiritually impure sources with spiritually impure intentions — but we can certainly punish them and limit their ability to target our people.

No one can argue in good faith that we are not obligated to do this, that this is in fact not the call of the hour.

Yes, it would be difficult in the short term to enjoy the full range of kosher products if we stop relying on big organizations that long ago sold whatever souls they might have once had. We might need to stop outsourcing kashrus to huge multinational corporations and give up eating processed foods with dozens of ingredients from all over the world, and instead revert to simpler, more natural foods with local kashrus supervisors that we personally know and trust — God-fearing people who actually work for us, not for a board of directors and mega-sponsors.

Yes, it would be difficult to adopt different models of educating our children if we stop outsourcing this most critical responsibility to soulless institutions. It would mean caring less about what people think and more about the safety and development of our children. It would mean making different career choices, adjusting our lifestyles, and putting more of our trust in Hashem and ourselves than in cultish, predatory indoctrination camps.

Yes, it would take time to learn how to protect our health and deal with medical problems without relying on the eugenic deathcare system for all our needs. If we recognize that hospitals are places where people with years to live were sent to die horrible deaths in isolation during the Covid era…

If we recognize that the vast majority of doctors and other “experts” who remain in the system knowingly harmed their patients during the Covid era to protect themselves and their miserable jobs…

If we recognize that those who didn’t do this knowingly are astonishingly ignorant and blindly follow protocols from a chart like an amateur who follows a recipe and believes he is an expert chef…

If we recognize that the deathcare system is less interested in keeping you healthy than making money off of you as long as your life is still considered useful, until such time as they will profit more from the termination of your life…

If we recognize that they view us and our bodies merely as products to be managed, controlled, and experimented upon, and not as unique, infinitely precious human beings with God-given souls…why do we continue to entrust ourselves to these demons in white coats any more than absolutely necessary until the system can be replaced, and why are we not collectively working in earnest to do just that?

Yes, it would be difficult to “keep up with the news” and “know what’s going on” if we stop turning to the media — and even the “alternative” media — that we know with certainty lie to us and distract us for a living. But what person in his right mind addictively turns to known liars and propagandists day after day for information?

What person in his right mind continues to allow such people and companies to decide which “stories” are important, choose which “narratives” are worth discussing and arguing over, influence his opinions even slightly, and manipulate his decisions on critical matters without his even realizing it?

What person in his right mind would even glance at such material, let alone spend endless hours hungrily taking it in and sharing it, then consider himself “informed”, even “awake”, yet somehow impervious to all the poison he just consumed? Why does he believe he is “more prepared” after this frequent exercise in time-wasting, stultification, and self-harm, which never leads to meaningful, productive action?

So yes, it would be more difficult to maintain the illusion that you are informed and not controlled if you quit the pseudo-Jewish propaganda sites cold turkey and cancel your subscription to Erev Rav print media. You might have to find other ways of occupying yourself on long Shabbos afternoons (Torah learning and enriching time with family remain the best options) without allowing un-Jewish influences couched in a “Jewish family magazine” into your home.

But isn’t it ironic that the very people who are on a crusade against Internet and smartphones (and with good reason) allow Erev Rav publications to subtly erode their families in much the same way, just because they feature kosher recipes, hagiographies about rabbis, and “yeshivish” lingo?

Why are there protests in many neighborhoods outside stores that sell smartphones, yet no one seems to care that these sinister publications are sold in seforim stories and Kosher supermarkets everywhere?

Who’s the hypocrite? Who’s the fool?

The truth is, we all are, to varying degrees. We all need to take serious steps in the right direction, with the eventual goal of separating ourselves from the Erev Rav and their influences completely.

And yes, it would take time to replace the Erev Rav, the fake-Jewish leadership, girfters, and corrupt useful idiots, with authentic, Torah-true shepherds. We need a total house-cleaning, from the local rabbis without an ounce of yiras shamayim and accountability, who promoted death shots to their communities and got away with it, to the chief Erev Rav, who, without exception, work for evil governments and other kofrim, and act as liaisons to manipulate us down the path of destruction.

But how can we not at least start the process, beginning with driving the lowest hanging fruit out of town? If we cannot be bothered to clean up the mess in our own backyards, why should Moshiach come and take out the trash on top?

It begins in our own homes, and extends outward to our local communities.

What will you do to start?

Speaking of enemies from within collaborating with enemies from without, I just uploaded JOWMA’s Deleted Seminar Promoting Immorality and Murder of Unborn Children. (This is the full version; I previously made a montage of excerpts here).

Warning: This presentation is obscene, highly disturbing, and completely antithetical to the Torah. Viewer discretion strongly advised.  It is posted in the interests of preserving the evidence against this sinister front group that has infiltrated and waged war on the Jewish people from within.

Officially called “Women’s Health Webinar: Family Planning”, posted on May 7, 2023.

There is nothing healthy about this family un-planning abomination. These ghouls don’t even look or sound Jewish, let alone religious.

After receiving pressure JOWMA deleted this seminar, then reposted it with a disclaimer, then deleted it again and made it available only via their hotline with a passcode.

Note: JOWMA has received official support and funding from the “Orthodox” Union: https://accelerator.ou.org/finalist/jowma/. Not surprisingly, both organizations heavily pushed the poison shots.

The Israeli Government Pretends to Apologize…

Israeli Government: Sorry About That

This comes from the Slimes of Israel: “Miki Zohar, the Likud’s culture and sports minister [of all people] issued an apology on behalf of the government to the residents of the southern communities slaughtered by Hamas on Saturday and to those who paid the ultimate price.

“The preparations were not in place for an attack like this…. The government, the state, was not ready for an attack like this,” Zohar says on Army Radio.“In the name of the government of Israel, and in the name of the whole State of Israel, we ask your forgiveness for what happened. Because the responsibility is on the government of Israel and the whole State of Israel.”

That’s right, folks, they’re sorry. Mistakes were made. Sorry we let you down. Let’s move on now.

Since Ms. Zohar and her colleagues are clearly too distraught to get into the details of their little boo-boo — after all, our pain is their pain, plus they are also busy saving the planet with Klaus and company — allow me to issue a more detailed apology on behalf of the apologists:

Dear people who were slaughtered,

We’re sorry we (officially) were caught totally by surprise. Although this attack was planned for many months, and we have some of the best intelligence in the world, they sure fooled us, and you paid the ultimate price. Whoops.

We’re sorry we ignored warnings from top foreign officials in the days leading up to the attack. We thought they were kidding, and we didn’t want to scare anyone. It’s not like this was a new strain of flu they were raising the alarm about.

We’re sorry we ignored warnings from soldiers stationed at the border that Hamas was training in plain sight for just this sort of invasion. We thought they were bluffing, or getting in some exercise, or just enjoying some paragliding in the sun. Did you ever go paragliding? It seems really fun.

We’re sorry we removed the surveillance balloons from the border. In hindsight that was pretty dumb, but who could have known?

We’re sorry we cleaned out the armories from the border communities, leaving them unable to defend themselves. But look on the bright side. At least the guns weren’t stolen by terrorists. And guns are really unsafe; you might have had an accident. So it’s a wash.

We’re sorry you got incinerated by thermobaric weapons, and shot, and beheaded, and raped to death, and then had your dead bodies looted, while the skies were clear and you were stranded for around eight hours. That is completely unacceptable, and we are working hard to make sure the world condemns it in the strongest of terms.

We’re sorry they took so many videos of it without your consent and posted them all over social media. That must be really embarrassing. We’re urging everyone not to watch these videos, because they are extremely upsetting, and if too many people get extremely upset it would endanger our ability to keep endangering you.

We’re sorry we didn’t send out a single helicopter to mow down the executioners. We still haven’t come up with a good excuse for that one, but we said we’re sorry, so don’t be a jerk about it.

Look, this is a hard time for all of us. This is not the time to ask questions. The time to ask questions is when we say so. At that time, we will appoint people to ask questions and we will help them draw the right conclusions, and we will promise to do better, and that will be the end of it.

Asking questions now will hurt morale, especially the morale of people who are trying to protect you who didn’t protect you when you were being slaughtered, and that would make you a threat to the state, and then an apology from you wouldn’t be enough.

So, please, in the name of the State of Israel, we’re sorry. Now get lost.

Sincerely,

The Government

PS: Since many people don’t trust us, we’re working on making it illegal not to trust us (see here). Specifically, if you accuse us of letting this happen on purpose, we’ll lock you up and take away your stuff. This isn’t like all those threats we made against the people who incinerated you, beheaded you, and kidnapped you. This time we mean it.

To keep us safe.

Why Are Jewish Soldiers Listening to their Commanders?!

Video Evidence of the Lies and Betrayal

After viewing the information in this email, I need you to share it as widely as possible, especially with the brave Jewish soldiers whose lives are being endangered for all the wrong reasons, while the Jewish communities across Israel are left almost entirely defenseless.  Every single one of them needs to know this immediately.
According to the official story from the Israeli military and Erev Rav establishment, parroted by all the media in the world, the Hamas executioners infiltrated from Gaza at approximately 7:40 AM.  Just one of countless regurgitations of this lie is in The Washington Post, here.
Newly discovered security footage from Kibbutz Be’eri, where over 100 Jews were slaughtered, shows the savages invading the kibbutz and beginning the murderous rampage at 5:55 AM — after they had managed to cross the border, “take out” the bases (which we are supposed to believe were defended), and traveled several kilometers.
See the video here (credit to Sacha Roytman, who originally posted it here).
This is supported by a report from a local resident that has been widely shared, who said that the infiltration actually began at 4 AM. See the full report here.
Another video gleefully shared by the Arab savages shows them taking their sweet time hunting Jews, slaughtering them, burning down homes, and rounding up hostages. Watch it here.
This is not how people look when they know a military response is likely to come at any moment.  It’s how they look when they know how much time they have to engage in their sport without anyone interfering with them.
They were wide open targets as they traveled several kilometers back and forth on open land near the border.  A single helicopter with a machine gun could have mowed them down.  But the Hamas executioners knew there would be no helicopter or any other response from Israel’s military at any point during the EIGHT HOUR KILLING SPREE.  They knew exactly how much time they had to complete their operation and go out the same way they came in.
They knew this because they were told how much time they would have.  They knew it because it was planned and agreed upon on both sides of the border.  There was collaboration at the highest levels. That is the only plausible explanation. It is indisputable.
We currently have hundreds of thousands of Jewish soldiers at Israel’s southern and northern borders, under orders to idle there without even proper food and clothing (private citizens, who already pay upwards of 70% in taxes, are raising money to bring them basic supplies), while the Erev Rav puppet leaders make blustery statements.
While this is happening, the home communities of these reservists — their wives, children, and elderly parents — are left naked and exposed, as the Yishmaelites across the country are sharpening their swords.
The numerous traitors who collaborated with Hamas to slaughter and terrorize our people, lied about everything, and concocted an absurdly porous cover story, are the same people giving orders to our soldiers.  Perhaps continuing to listen to them is not the best idea.
Perhaps instead of idling and suffering by the border, awaiting orders to enter a death trap, they should return home and protect their families and neighbors.
Perhaps the people giving the orders should be apprehended and interrogated — all in an entirely legal and non-violent manner, of course, by the hundreds of thousands of brave soldiers conveniently assembled by these same people.
Is this not their moral right?  Is this not their moral duty?
The question is not which people in power committed high treason and a host of other crimes against our people.  The question is which of them truly had no knowledge of any of this, no role to play, no complicity, no Jewish blood on their hands.
Before we follow any further instructions from anyone in power or in the media they control, or allow them to distract and mislead us any further, it would be appropriate to find out.
Whoever refuses to accept that this was a betrayal at the highest levels, and that we should continue to do what we are told, might as well walk into the gas chambers as the previous batch of corpses is being shoveled out, convinced there’s a hot shower waiting for him.
This is the truth.  Deal with it.
*   *   *
Yesterday Frontline News released an emergency warning that the Arabs in Shomron were evacuating their women and children in preparation of an attack on nearby Jewish communities, who were left without significant military protection.  Thank God, this report went viral all over the world, and the Erev Rav establishment was forced to send reinforcements, as this “surprise massacre” would no longer be a surprise.
The official propaganda in Hebrew from the Erev Rav establishment is here.  They didn’t move in troops to protect the Jews.  They did it to protect themselves.
Our efforts make a difference.  Don’t stop.

An Open Letter to the Rabbis of Baltimore and the Five Towns

An Open Letter to the Rabbis of Baltimore and the Five Towns

As the prohibition of chanufa is most severe, I begin this letter without honorary salutation so as not to display feelings of affinity or respect for you that I do not harbor.

The promotional video that you appeared in about a year ago in which you urged people to “get vaccinated” with the Covid shots was never befitting Rabbonim. Even leaving aside for the moment the veracity of the message or lack thereof, this is hardly the manner in which Rabbonim should deliver halachic opinions. Never in a million years would Rabbi Moshe Feinstein, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, and the Chafetz Chaim, to name just a few gedolim and poskim of modern times, have agreed to perform in such a video (and a performance is what it was).

Indeed, delivering trite, scripted messages via a professionally produced and edited video, and passing this off as a serious rabbinic ruling that the public is meant to unquestioningly follow, is simply unprecedented. It makes a mockery of the halachic process – which must be unfailingly honest, thorough, transparent, and subject to the rigorous scrutiny of scholar and layman alike – and reduces it to mere sound bites.

Everything, literally everything, depends on the integrity of the halachic process. The Jewish people have been sustained by this process for three thousand years, and you demolished it in three minutes. That was the most significant accomplishment of your commercial advertisement for Covid shots, in which you served as celebrity endorsers. Were your scripted message for people to take the shots the correct halachic conclusion, the process by which you arrived at and delivered this message could not have been more inappropriate and damaging to the mantle of Torah that you wear.

Not surprisingly, however, your scripted message was not correct. It isn’t now, and it wasn’t then. The carnage caused by these accursed shots, produced and forced upon us by accursed people, can no longer be denied or explained away. The meteoric rise in heart attacks, strokes, cancers, fertility problems, sudden “unexplained” deaths, and numerous other severe health problems that directly correlate to the shots can no longer be brushed aside as mere coincidence, except by the most cynical and corrupt.

Our ancestors stood and watched as the sea split before them, and recognized it as God’s miraculous intervention. There were those who witnessed the same event and scoffed at the lack of scientific evidence. Perhaps the winds blew in just the right way, or perhaps the sea naturally split on extremely rare occasions, and the Jewish people happened to be in the right place at the right time. There are always those who refuse to accept the stark reality staring them in the face. Likewise, there are those who still insist that the shots are “safe and effective”, contrary both to mountains of studies and, no less significant, the reality staring us in the face.

You demanded that people take these shots. You leveraged your authority as rabbis and community leaders, the trust every decent Jew yearns to have in our shepherds, to deliver this “halachic ruling” with no actual substance. By participating in this pharmaceutical advertisement, this charade, you called upon Jews who live by the Torah and fear heaven to take the shots based on their respect for you alone.

That is not how the Torah works. That is certainly not how decisions affecting the physical and spiritual health of the entire Jewish people are to be made.

Surely you knew this, which is why none of you followed up your commercial appearance with a proper halachic teshuva that could be studied, analyzed, and critiqued as per Torah norms. You had every opportunity to do so – and every obligation to do so – yet not one of you has substantiated his scripted message with a proper ruling as befits your station. This is a disgrace to the Torah, to the rabbinic institution, and to the entire Jewish people. There is no excuse, and there can be no excuse.

Furthermore, it was obvious that the videos were sponsored, at least in part, by the government, which would have been reason enough for you to decline to participate. A rabbi must leave no room for suspicion that his halachic rulings are influenced by money, politics, or other outside interference. A rabbi should certainly not collaborate with the government in developing and disseminating his halachic rulings.

But it gets worse. To no surprise, recent investigative work has discovered that funding for this propaganda campaign derived from the Open Society Foundations – none other than George Soros. I should not need to elaborate on the significance of this. You might as well work for Amalek.

The Rambam in Hilchos Teshuva 3:6 lists twenty-four types of people who “have no share in the world to come, but are cut off, lost, and judged for their great wickedness and sins forever and ever.”

One of these is מחטיאי הרבים, those who cause the public to sin. As the Rambam writes in 3:10, it makes no difference whether one causes the public to transgress a great sin, such as idolatry, or even a lighter matter, such as canceling a positive commandment. This includes misleading the people until they sin or forcing them to sin.

You have caused the public to violate numerous sins, as I outlined in my article Wholesale Sinners, and you caused them to cancel countless positive commandments by supporting the closures of shuls, yeshivos, and cancellation of normative Jewish life at the unscientific whims of heretical “health officials”.

Another type the Rambam lists is mosrim, those who hand over their fellow Jews to goyim to be harmed or killed, or their money to goyim or criminals (3:12). You have done precisely that, under the false pretense of protecting their lives.

You might want to review what the Rambam writes about mosrim in Chovel Umazik 8:9-11 and Eidus 11:10, the Rivash Siman 79, and the Margaliyos Hayam on Sanhedrin 46A:6-7, to name just a few sources. I am not a posek, nor am I advocating violence or for anyone to take the law into their own hands, but these sources should make your hair stand on edge. There is a Judge and there is Justice.

Another type the Rambam lists is מטילי אימה על הציבור שלא לשם שמים, those who inflict fear upon the public not for the sake of heaven (3:13). “Unvaccinated people died. Died!” You did nothing but terrorize people into taking shots and viewing all social interaction as a lethal danger. You did not do this for the sake of heaven. You did it for your own benefit and to suit the agenda of those at war with Hashem.

None of this is a stretch. You represent three types of people who lose their share in the world to come, and get punished forever.

The Rambam concludes this frightening chapter with a hopeful message. Even the worst of sinners have the opportunity to do teshuva, in which case they reclaim a share in the world to come. Furthermore, the community accepts repentant sinners – even those who committed grave sins – back into the fold.

It is impossible for you to fully rectify the harm that you have caused. Those who lost their lives due to the shots cannot be brought back to life; those who suffered serious harm will not be cured by your repentance; those who suffered economic devastation, estrangement from family, friends, and community might not recover what they lost.

However, it is still incumbent upon you to repent for your actions and rectify the damage to the best of your ability. Yehoshua bin Nun implored Achan to repent before his execution, even though he would still be put to death. Achan’s repentance brought honor to the Jewish people and salvaged his own soul in the next world. This is the same opportunity and responsibility that is before you.

I recommend the following plan of action for your teshuva process. This is the minimum that would be acceptable; the more you add to this, the better.

1) Issue a video-recorded confession of your sins and distribute it via the same public channels as your original video.

2) Express sincere remorse and ask the entire tzibur for forgiveness.

3) If you know individuals who were harmed by your “ruling”, do teshuva to them personally, in accordance with the halacha.

4) Publicly disclose everything you know about the propaganda campaign targeting your community, the individuals and entities involved, their tactics – everything. As the people near the top of this chain are extremely sinister, you may well be endangering your life by betraying them. Nevertheless, this is a step you must take to rectify the damage you caused. If you pay with your life because of this, your death will be an atonement.

5) Publicly disclose any compensation you received directly or indirectly through your institutions for collaborating with this campaign. Dedicate this sum toward rectifying the damage you caused, such as by spreading the truth and assisting victims of the shots.

6) Step down from any positions of leadership in the community, and, if you are accepted back into the fold, refrain from retaking such positions in the future.

I sincerely hope that you will follow in the positive example of Achan and mend your ways while you still have the chance. As much damage as you caused, true repentance will bring tremendous healing to the community and deliver a serious blow to our enemies. It will also salvage your share in the world to come and spare you punishment that is beyond anything we can imagine.

Is that not worth the shame and material dangers of coming clean?

We have lost a great deal, but there is still so much that can be saved. Be brave now and do the right thing.

Sincerely,

EXPOSING Anshei Sedom Retreads (No, Not Literally)

Eshel Preys on Orthodox Jews but Won’t Answer Questions

As the war on God and humanity approaches a climax, Amalek is making a full-court press to legitimize and spread all types of deviant behaviors. Amalek will be utterly destroyed in the end – this was prophesied already by Bil’am – but until that glorious day arrives we must prevent Amalek from taking our people down with them.

I don’t know if the people behind Eshel are truly Jewish or Jewish in name only, but they are doing Amalek’s unholy work.

Their mission page features the following statement: “We envision a world where LGBTQ+ people and their families are full participants in the Orthodox community of their choice.”

To someone with a big heart and a primitive mind, this will come across as innocuous, even virtuous. After all, it’s easy to feel sorry for people who are left out. Portraying such people as righteous underdogs, victims of cruelty and injustice, is a highly effective strategy. We see this tactic time and time again to seize the narrative and shut down serious discussion, let alone criticism of the perceived victims, because it works.

But if we stop a moment and actually consider the implications of Eshel’s “vision”, it’s not so innocuous.

What would it mean for LGBTQ+ people to be “full participants in the Orthodox community of their choice”? It would mean your son’s Rebbe or Rosh Yeshiva might be homosexual and proud of it. Don’t think your Yeshiva would never hire someone like that. Hiring practices that discriminate against people based on such criteria would be illegal and could get the Yeshiva shut down.

That would be fine with them, too. They might even prefer that to actually being hired.

It would mean your daughter’s seminary teacher might be a man who claims to be a woman and uses the same bathroom as your daughter. It would mean this same man would sit in the women’s section of the Orthodox synagogue of his choice, and you would be powerless to utter a peep of protest. Doing so might even land you in prison.

When we unpack the positive sounding, emotionally manipulative buzzwords and translate it to plain English, this is Eshel’s vision. Not today, and not tomorrow – they’ve been playing the long game for decades – but they are almost there, and they mean business.

Eshel was founded in 2010 by Miryam Kabakov and Steve Greenberg. Greenberg’s claim to fame is being ordained as a rabbi by RIETS and subsequently disclosing that he is homosexual. According to everyone who isn’t an Orthodox Jew, this means one can be an Orthodox rabbi and also gay, which is very convenient for falsifying the Torah and confusing people. Greenberg has made quite a career out of this – the secular world will shower such Jews with endless accolades and grants – and he generously co-founded Eshel to spread this bounty with more people who grew up in Orthodox Jewish environments.

Kabakov was not ordained as a rabbi – it is unclear why not – but this did not prevent her from marrying her wife and receiving an award for editing an abomination-promoting book called “Keep Your Wives Away From Them: Orthodox Women, Unorthodox Desires”. In a 2010 softball interview in the Forward, Kabakov referred to herself as “post-modern Orthodox” and noted that she attends a Conservative synagogue.

She also works with Footsteps, an organization that supports Jews in abandoning Orthodox Judaism. One of their great success stories is Abby Stein, “a formerly Ultra-Orthodox rabbi” who later “came out as transgender women”. Talk about self-actualization!

Of course, it’s not enough for people like Abby Stein to be assisted with cutting ties with the Orthodox world. That’s why Kabakov co-founded Eshel, to make sure people like Stein can remain entrenched in the Orthodox world – in the Orthodox community of their choice! – and be treated no differently than anyone else. The goal of Eshel is to convince disturbed individuals, their families, and their communities that being a transvestite and a homosexual is totally fine by the Torah. It’s not even something worth noticing, except to declare how wonderful it is.

If Eshel’s vision is realized, people like Abby Stein would teach children in Boro Park and Lakewood – and you’d better pretend to be fine with that.

Kabakov was quoted in the JTA article about the West Orange Bake Shop, which canceled an order for perversity-themed pastries. The article noted that Eshel “announced an “ally training” in West Orange… in response to the incident”.

On July 13 I emailed Eshel a media inquiry, requesting to interview Miriam Kabakov or a different representative from the organization regarding the incident with the bakery and related matters.

Just two hours later I received a response from Kabakov (who identifies in the signature line of her email as “she/her”). She – just to be clear, she! – wanted to know my questions and what publication I was working with. I replied that I am independent, but I write for a wide audience that includes Orthodox, secular, and non-Jewish readers, and my articles have been published in a wide range of publications. I then asked her eight questions, which follow. Although these are not the usual softball questions Kabakov is likely used to in interviews, they are most reasonable and on point.

I did not hear back.

The next day I sent Kabakov a follow-up email noting that the incident with the bakery was a timely matter and asking her to let me know if she would be responding to my questions.

I did not hear back. Kabakov’s hunger for media attention had completely disappeared. She must have realized I wasn’t writing an infomercial for Eshel, in which case she had nothing to say. I can’t say this surprised me – these people confine themselves to “safe spaces” and scripted interviews – but it’s remarkable to witness it up close.

On July 17, four days after Kabakov’s near-immediate initial response had turned to radio silence, I wrote to her as follows: “If I don’t hear back from you today I will assume you are declining to respond to the questions and will note that in the article. Thank you.”

Kabakov responded almost immediately. Techiyas Hameisim! A miracle!

Unfortunately, she declared that her reply was off the record, though you’re not missing much. She did not respond to my questions, save a single puffy quote that she permitted me to use. I will share that later. First, the questions:

1. In response to the baker’s decision not to fulfill the order for Pride-themed goods, Eshel announced “ally training” in West Orange. What does this entail in practical terms, and what is the end goal of this training?

There is nothing objectionable about this question. If the people at Eshel were acting in good faith, not working to subvert the Orthodox world, Kabakov should have been proud to elaborate. She would have explained how she is training people inside the Orthodox Jewish world to respond to business owners and others who are unwilling to fully acquiesce with the LGBT demand of the day, and to otherwise push their agenda forward. This would have been a great opportunity for her to share some of this training with a wider audience. Why not be transparent?

But since this is all about subverting the community, the last thing they want is for you and me to see what’s going on behind the facade. Only allies can be privy to their training.

There is a militaristic connotation even to the term “ally training”. Allies are people you seek in times of war, and training is for foot soldiers. Kabakov can’t state explicitly that she is at war with Orthodox Jewry, seeking to foment an insurrection from within. So she simply ignored the question.

2. There have been calls for a boycott of this bakery. Does Eshel support this measure?

There are two ways Kabakov could have responded to this question: yes or no. Neither answer would have suited her agenda.

If she said yes, many potential “allies” in the community would be horrified. It’s one thing to support sweet and cuddly LGBT people and assure them that their behavior is totally fine by Hashem, but it’s another thing to shut down a local kosher bakery and destroy people’s livelihood because they wouldn’t fill a religiously objectionable order. Allies of Eshel would love to see a torch-bearing mob destroy the bakery, but Kabakov can’t come out and say it. Not yet, anyway.

If she said no, on the other hand, many of Eshel’s allies would turn against her. How dare she cower before the primitive religious tyrants who wouldn’t fill the order? How dare she be gracious and understanding toward an Orthodox Jew who won’t do anything and everything they demand of him?

Although this question is most reasonable, there is no way Kabakov could answer it, and therefore no ally in the media would ask it.

3. What is Eshel’s position on the recent Supreme Court decision that upholds the right of the baker to turn down orders such as these? In a better world, would the business and the owner be subject to legal action and severe penalties? In essence, to what extent should businesses be forced to fulfill orders that conflict with their personal/religious convictions?

Ditto the above. This was an excellent opportunity for a sincere person to offer a thoughtful response, regardless of whether she felt the bakery should be shut down, legally protected, or anything in between. But no answer would have served her agenda to infiltrate and subvert the Orthodox Jewish world, so I am not surprised she declined to offer one.

4. What would be Eshel’s position if a baker canceled an order for a cake with swastikas because he finds them personally and religiously offensive? Where can we reasonably draw the line? Or can we draw a line anywhere?

I definitely upped the ante with this question, but it’s entirely reasonable. A sincere person might have answered in one of the following ways:

a) Argue that a religiously offensive order is totally different from a Nazi-themed order, thus the baker could reject the latter, but must fill the former. It wouldn’t be a strong argument, but I would be able to convince many people otherwise if I wanted to.

b) Argue that there is no substantial difference, or it’s too slippery a slope to try to determine where to draw the line, and thus the baker should swallow his disgust, fill both orders, and count his money at the end of the day. After all, if he wants people to tolerate him as an Orthodox Jew, he has to cater to Nazis and Satanists. God bless America.

Obviously Kabakov declined to answer this question.

5. If an LGBTQ+ business owner received an order for a product that is anti-LGBT (such as verses from the Torah or rabbinic teachings to that effect, or, to provide an extreme example, depicting a stoning), what would be Eshel’s position in such a scenario?

This question is a checkmate for any abomination agitator, assuming you can find one capable of anything more than screaming obscenities or scurrying away when confronted with an uncomfortable question.

Miryam Kabakov runs an organization and needs to appear respectable, so she opted for the latter.

6. Eshel is actively assisting LGBTQ+ individuals with a dating service, advertising this as “Find Your Bashert”. The traditional Orthodox position on bashert is that 40 days before someone is born, a voice from heaven proclaims that “the daughter of so-and-so is intended for the son of so-and-so”. In your opinion, has the voice from heaven changed? Was this teaching never intended to be gender specific, although it seems to have always been understood that way?

If someone is going to misappropriate a traditional Jewish concept, while posing as an organization that supports Orthodox Jews, they should have an answer for this question off the top of their head. But I’m willing to bet I’m the first person who ever posed it to Eshel.

It’s also remarkable the way people who reject the Talmud and Talmudic rabbis as the authoritative source of authentic Judaism and Torah law regularly poach material from this very source to prop up their illegitimate inventions.

This leads to the final two questions.

7. You previously described yourself as “post-modern Orthodox” who attends a Conservative synagogue. As a co-founder of Eshel, how does this reconcile with Eshel describing itself as an Orthodox organization? How does the organization overcome this seeming contradiction?

Indeed, what business does a non-Orthodox (by this point probably even post-Conservative) lesbian have creating programs within Orthodox communities and basically telling us how things should be done? As an Orthodox rabbi, what business would I have marching into a Conservative or Reform community and telling them how to run their show?

It’s an entirely reasonable question, but it would topple the boat, and hence Kabakov declined to answer it.

8. This final question really cuts to the core of everything. Why is it so important for people who identify as LGBTQ+ to also identify and be fully accepted as Orthodox Jews? Being that so many people interpret the Torah in a myriad of ways, why is it so important to insinuate oneself into congregations and communities which have adopted a more fundamentalist approach, and not just “do your own thing”, even if it isn’t called Orthodox? Why do so many young people despair to the point of suicide if they are not fully accepted as both LGBTQ+ and strictly Orthodox? Why not just be LGBTQ+ and Conservative, Reform, or something else entirely?

I mentioned that Kabakov gave me one quote I can use, and it seems to apply here: “Many frum Jews who are LGBTQ do not “insinuate” themselves into Orthodox shuls, but rather they are born into them and grow up to discover they can no longer be part of them, and thus lose their spiritual homes.”

She cleverly avoided the crux of the matter, instead cherry-picking a single word – an entirely expendable word – to springboard into an emotional appeal. That is the only card they can ever play, the “we have to empathize with the wonderful, suffering LGBTQ folks and do everything possible to accommodate them, otherwise you’re a terrible person” card.

Unfortunately for Kabakov, emotionally manipulative deflections such as these are losing power with each passing day, and get nowhere with me. In my final reply to Kabakov, I wrote as follows:

“As you founded and represent an organization, I asked highly relevant and pointed questions about the activities and policies of your organization, which I assume you would be prepared and willing to answer even if the one asking these questions was not already on your side… I think it behooves you as the founder of an organization to respond to such questions, which are entirely reasonable and logical. Avoiding these questions is not a good look – but it’s your choice. Please let me know either way.”

That was the end of the correspondence.

Although Eshel was founded in 2010, they started getting serious money in 2019, with over $350,000 in contributions and grants. $271,000 of that was spent on salaries, other compensation, and employee benefits, with Miryam Kabakov and Steven Greenberg netting a combined $175,000 in salary alone. In 2020 the contributions and grants for Eshel reached nearly half a million dollars. See the tax returns here and here.

You can make a lot of money being gay, especially if you promote the notion that you can be actively homosexual, dress like the opposite gender, and be an Orthodox Jew, too. Many organizations, foundations, and wealthy individuals who are very distant from Orthodox Judaism will throw money at you, the secular establishment will gush over your books, and the secular media will shower you with positive attention and well-placed quotes. All because you care so very much about the feelings of Orthodox Jews who are struggling, which is of course everyone’s number one concern.

Conversely, if someone used to struggle with same-sex attraction or was disturbed about his gender, yet he withdrew from the LGBT “community”, overcame his demons, and successfully married and raised a family, no foundation, organization, or wealthy individuals will throw money at him to share his story and encourage others to follow his “footsteps” into the light. The establishment will not give his book an award or any positive attention, nor will he be the media’s go-to expert for quotes.

If such people start an organization to encourage Orthodox Jews who are victims of abuse or otherwise severely disturbed that there is real hope, not only will they not receive half a million dollars in funding, they will be persecuted until they are shut down.

Interesting, no?

Amalek and their collaborators have snared enough of our precious souls.

Eshel and their ilk have no business running programs in our communities.

Keep them away from our children.
