Wisdom Among the Goyim?

I heard in the name of Rabbi David Stavsky that he quoted some Chassidic Rebbe who “explained” the saying of Chazal חכמה בגוים תאמן as חכמה בגוים?! תאמן!

I don’t know who said it.

With some Jews, even the weak wind of finding wisdom among non-Jews would uproot their Judaism. Not only do they attribute their closed-mindedness to Chazal, they take the idea from the very source meant to convey the opposite!
