As I recall, the Nazis continued paying their Jewish WWI veterans living in Israel almost right up until their complete defeat.
Know what else? Tens of thousands of Israeli reservists could be called up but aren’t due to ineptitude and laziness. Not to mention those mistakenly released. Baruch Hashem, wonderful! And they claim they don’t have enough cannon fodder, so they need Charedim?!
