Even MASHIACH Made Aliyah – What Are You Waiting For?!

He is not waiting at the gate of Rome in Chutz La’aretz at all, but Ruma, an ancient Galilean town, says Rabbi Moshe Alshich on Shir Hashirim 7:6.

Here is what he says:

For more detail on Ruma, follow footnote 7 where I got this from, by Marc B. Shapiro. The ellipsis were inserted for the Alshich’s confabulation of a different gemara (regarding Rebbi and Antoninus).

A Brief Break from the ‘Atem Keruyim Adam’ Apologia…

Finally, a rabbi stating the obvious truth about non-Jews in a forthright fashion, in English!

Here is Rabbi Dr. Moshe D. Tendler in an article on population control:

… The big sacrifice, the Akedat Yitzchak (the sacrifice of Isaac) is rarely demanded of us. However the small daily acts of sacrifice that are the basis of our survival as a Holy Nation, should be woven into the personality fabric of every Jew. It may be “inconvenient” to measure every thought and act against the yardstick of Torah right and wrong. Indeed to live the life of a human being clearly differentiated by his every act from those infrahuman species that are his co-tenants on this planet is a major inconvenience…

Translation: Jews are human. Non-Jews are almost-human.

Wait, aren’t you providing fodder for antisemites?

As if they need any! See this.

The only thing Goyim have going for them is that, unlike cows, they can convert to humanity (read: Judaism) if they but so choose.

On a related note, see here for a mainstream rabbi admitting Jews do constitute a “foreign element” among the nations.

FINALLY: A Valid Reason to Go Vote This Time (No Kidding)!

Elections don’t help, and no state institutions are Jewishly legitimate, even de facto. As they say, “If voting changed anything, they’d make it illegal.” (People vote due to human nature, and often the evil inclination to “Statolatryper Eric Voegelin, אכמ”ל.)

Zehut isn’t running. (Might Bibi make Feiglin his stand-in, and then, you know… like Sharon and Olmert?) The Charedi parties are all about Mesirah. I’m definitely not rooting for Otzmah‘s ridiculous “Medinat Halacha” vision.

So, vote or not, the result I’m hoping for is interminable interregnum.

But there’s a good reason to vote this time, anyway. Really!

Its called “Matzbi’im Shiv’im Achuz“. If you take a picture of yourself at the voting booth, you can get a 30% discount at a looong list of stores! Check it out here.

Of course, that’s no reason to actually vote. Perhaps all you need is the picture of you standing there… (But ask your rabbi about that!)

The Chessed RECIPIENT Has Obligations, Too…

True story:

Reuven and Shimon were somewhat close friends. Reuven desperately needed help, so Shimon granted it. Shimon thought nothing of this. But Reuven, ashamed of his benefactor, now avoids Shimon entirely. Shimon did chessed, and lost a friend for it.

Shimon was again approached for help by Levi, another friend. Recalling his negative experience, he hesitates.

Who is to blame? Reuven.

‘He Hoped for Justice but Found Wickedness’

When a wild creature, a common product of the government’s welfare and public education system, enters some decent working man’s home, rapes and murders his wife and daughters, steals his goods, and destroys his home, if, by some extraordinary circumstance, the rapist is then caught, he is put in prison, where he is fed, sheltered, and clothed for the rest of his life with money extorted from the victim. That is called government justice.

Just a small reminder.
