‘Stolen Capital Will Decrease, But Savings From Earnings Will Increase’

Keynesianism Is A Mystical Religion That Believes Paying Taxes To Government Makes You Richer Because The Government Is Wise

I came across this post today at Mises.org by William Anderson, reposted at EPJ, about Tax Day. It’s important to read in its entirety, then I’ll explain how it relates to mystic religion.

—–

April 15 is here and we are required to do the following: tell the government our income and send much of it to Washington.

Austrian-school economists are likely to tell you this is a bad thing and that taxes and government spending lower our living standards. In other words, the more government we are required to finance, the poorer we will be. According to the Austrians, economies grow through capital investments reflecting time preferences of individuals. Furthermore, Austrians actually claim that individual savings lead to economic growth. The more we pay in taxes, the less money we have for capital investment and saving. In other words, the more taxes we pay, the less we have for the building blocks of economic growth.

However, disciples of John Maynard Keynes, like Paul Krugman and others, take a rather different view. For them, wealth is achieved by spending, which creates economic growth. When consumers don’t spend enough, government rescues the economy by upping its spending. Because of this, should government raise taxes, it actually stimulates the economy more than individuals can do through their own spending. We could allow people to spend their money as they see fit. But, it’s better to be on the safe side and tax as much of it as possible, instead.

The Keynesian “Balanced Budget Multiplier” makes it all possible. It is a version of 2 + 2 = 5. The tax-fueled magic is explained as follows:

  • All spending has a “multiplier” effect. Spending increases the incomes of others, who then spend their increased income, and the pattern continues indefinitely.
  • Individual savings, according to Keynesians, are “leakages” from the system, and if not offset by equal “injections” via government spending or increased exports, the “multiplier” then works in reverse, pulling the economy into recession.
  • Government tax increases, however, have two-fold positive net effects. First, government spends new tax revenues, which quickly multiplies and creates new jobs. Second, by reducing individual incomes, people must spend larger percentages of their incomes to uphold their present standard of living. (The famed Keynesian “multiplier” equals 1 over the savings rate, so the less we save, the greater the multiplier.)

The “logic” of the balanced-budget multiplier differs from the logic of taxation and spending in Denmark. There, individuals pay most of their income in taxes, but supposedly receive marvelous government services that are more valuable to them than what they would have purchased on their own had high tax rates not existed.

Instead, the “Balanced-Budget” multiplier creates wealth by destroying savings. Austrians obviously disagree, and the “reality gap” between Austrians and Keynesians is widened. Austrians emphasize savings, capital accumulation, market prices and market interest rates, profits, losses, with entrepreneurs making decisions in an uncertain climate under the umbrella of economic calculation.

Keynesians promise an easy way out. Just give money to the government, which will spend and spend, and the spending multiplies prosperity. Interestingly, modern intellectuals will tell you that Keynesianism is “real world,” while Austrian economics is “pie in the sky.”

On April 15, Keynesians will contribute to growing prosperity by sending more money to Washington. However, Austrians likely will have a different take.

——

So, we are supposed to believe, according to Keynesian economics, that being robbed means we are becoming wealthier. That government spending is somehow magical because when politicians spend the same money on their own stuff, such as killing people or giving billions to Israeli or Arab despots, it somehow creates prosperity, whereas when you spend that money on what you actually want, it makes you poorer.

So I’m in the middle now of Volume I of Murray Rothbard’s An Austrian Perspective on the History of Economic Thought. It’s such a well written book and so fantastically organized, it’s a pleasure to read. Rothbard writes like the Rambam in terms of organization, though Rothbard is more verbose. It is impossible to be more succinct than Maimonides, unless you’re Rashi, but Rambam was clearer than Rashi most of the time. Maybe I’m the first one to make that comparison.

Anyway, Rothbard writes about the history of a town in Germany where a guy named Bockelson decided Jesus wanted everything collectivized and to each according to his need etc. Sound familiar? And that everyone was going to be forcibly converted to his brand of Christianity called something or other. Anabaptism maybe? I don’t care enough to double check.

He ended up getting sieged along with his followers while everyone was starving because the division of labor broke down, as it always does in forced communism. Rothbard writes the following about Bockelson, towards the end, after he had already declared himself king and everyone was starving to death.

It is not surprising that the deluded masses of Munster began to grumble at being forced to live in abject poverty while the king and his courtiers lived in extreme luxury on the proceeds of their confiscated belongings. And so Bockelson had to beam them some propaganda to explain the new system. The explanation was this: it was all right for Bockelson to live in pomp and luxury because he was already completely dead to the world and the flesh. Since he was dead to the world, in a deep sense his luxury didn’t count. In the style of every guru who has ever lived in luxury among his credulous followers, he explained that for him material objects had no value. How such ‘logic’ can ever fool anyone passes understanding.

And then I realized, the Keynesian nonsense ‘logic’ that giving your money to politicians and bureaucrats makes you richer, is the same exact thing. All western society has been indoctrinated into a religion that essentially preaches the government as King Bockelson. Bockelson can live in luxury while the his people starve because Bockelson is beyond the flesh.

And Washington can live in luxury while its subjects are forced to pay the taxes that Washington consumes, because giving Washington money makes the people richer, since Washington is beyond the flesh. Spending makes you richer. Savings makes you poorer. The more money politicians have, the better off everyone is. The richer Bockelson is, the better off his people are.

It’s the same religion. Keynesianism and insane early protestant Christian messianic communism.

The Anti-Zionist Complex

The dilemma of the anti-Zionist

The recent visit of the Neturei Karta to Iran and the swaths of condemnations by Hareidi publications of this act illustrate to me the impossible situation the mainstream Hareidim have arrived at.

If they root for the Arabs, Jews die.
If they root for the Jews, they are basically rooting for the success of the state which they despise so much since the state is doing most of the fighting.

So what do they do? I would assume that most are davening for some sort of open miracle that would somehow quietly and peacefully dissolve the state. However, any ideology that relies on Nisim Geluim leKatchila is an impoverished one which has no real plan for the future and nothing more to offer than depressing passivity.

Oh well, what am I complaining about? Every community has their problems – its just that this ones looks like a really big one to me.

One Jew Comes Clean

The Truth Will Set Us Free!

It’s time to come clean.  After using Stumble Upon to check out other sites, I ran across quite a few conspiracy sites.  Most of them had to do with Jews.  I felt a huge wave of shame overcome me.  How did the truth get discovered?  I am so distraught, I have decided to come clean.

The Jews are responsible for everything bad in the world.  If you read every other word of our holy text the Protocols of Zion you can clearly see that we Jews founded the Illuminati alongside Bolshevism to cover up the faked moon landing.

Now stay with me here.  Israel, founded by the Rothschilds, was secretly funded by the Masons, who, as an anti-Christian organization, had Jesus crucified for sell retail to the “goyim.”

Here’s where it gets scary.  We killed Paul McCartney in 1966 and replaced him with an exact duplicate.  Why?  He knew that the aliens who landed in Roswell were Zionist slumlords trying to occupy the Navajo Nation.  Of course, we are not the original Jews.  We are Khazars who genetically altered our DNA to look like the Ancient Palestinian People whose land we now occupy in order to Judaize Al Aqsa , a place that has no particular connection to us whatsoever.  Fact is, the real Jews are the British.  Particularly the Welsh and some of the people in the East Side of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Now, as you know, Passover is coming.  Time to feast on some gentile children’s blood!  In fact, my Bubbie’s recipe is as follows:

Matzoh

Six cups flour (all purpose)

Four cups water (do NOT take from the wells we poisoned!)

Two cups gentile blood (preferably child.  It’s more fresh)

(Side note:  Happy Easter to all my Catholic friends who will be feasting on the blood and flesh of Jew through transubstantiation.  Bon Appetite!)

Back to the truth.  As Communists we decided to set up the Federal Reserve to oppress the poor.  Why?  We like to keep you on your toes.  We killed Kennedy, Lincoln, Jesus, Buddha, Gandhi, Mark Twain, Julius Caesar, Atlantis, bell bottoms, Arafat (well, AIDS killed him, but we gave him the young infected boy) and finally Abel (we traveled back in time for that one). Jimmy Hoffa is buried in Tel Aviv (AKA occupied Palestine.)

My uncle Abe worked at the hospital in Hawaii where Obama was born.  Frequently he would destroy birth certificates just IN CASE they would want to run for office when they were adults.  Boy, was he a forward thinker!

We are Communists and yet we are greedy Capitalists.  We are racist and xenophobic and yet we forced the Civil Rights Movement and desegregation on the South.  We are all of European stock, even our brothers and sisters from Yemen and Ethiopia.  We are clannish and hate all gentiles though we are Masonic an organization that teaches brotherhood among all men.

Last but not least: We flew all the planes into the Twin Towers after the secret message was sent out for all Jews to stay home on 9/11.  We behead infidels.  We riot in the street.  We openly declare that we want to subject the world to Sharia Halacha.  We blow up Buddha statues.  We destroy Hindu Temples.  We occupy Mecca and Medina and refuse to let Muslims worship at their holiest site and deny their connection to the land.  We kill our daughters when they date.  We chop off the hands of thieves.

Thanks for listening.  I feel so much better now!

Five Steps When Confronted With Impure Thoughts

5 Hacks To Clear Your Mind

5 Hacks To Clear Your Mind

We all have parts of our day where we are half idle with tasks that require little to no concentration. No matter where you are, the evil inclination knows that these are the best moments to pounce.

If you go to forbidden sites while at work, you will be caught and you will be fired. That’s not the temptation. The temptation arises when we go to news sites and they show attractive faces, or people covered up, but in ways that unfortunately stir the imagination.

All you need is one image, and a chain reaction of forbidden thoughts is triggered right when you are most vulnerable to such an attack. We are sitting in front of a computer. We are physically inactive. We are also mentally inactive. We are in a physical and mental state where stimulation and excitement are exactly what we need. This is where the Evil Inclination tempts you with an “easy solution.”

Here are 5 hacks for creating an even greater stimulation: fighting this off.

1. Concentrate on a Torah shiur. If you are doing something that requires little concentration, and you know that listening to something else will not detract from your work, listen to a Torah shiur. It can be from your mobile device, or from the internet via your desktop computer. Once these thoughts attack, do everything you can to concentrate on every word the Rav is saying.

2. Call out to Hashem in your mind. Tell Him that you do not want to think these thoughts. You find them repulsive and you don’t want it. Even while 90% of your emotions and thoughts are still lusting for this, scream to Hashem that you wish they would go away.

According to Rabbi Arush, just one hour of living in today’s world confronts us with more lust than over an entire lifetime just 100 years ago. Can you imagine how much light you flood the world with by fighting?

3. Say the Shema. By reciting the Shema we combat these thoughts. This is a great, and immediate hack to chop away at these unwanted impulses.

4. Scream over and again, “You are not me!” These thoughts come from the Yetzer Hara, our Evil Inclination. This is not a part of you. It is an alien creation formed by Hashem to test us. Concentrate on the fact that these impulses are outside of you. They are a separate entity. It is something that can be cut off and thrown away. Focus on how every thought is not you. It is not a part of you and you can separate from it, even in this world. (Thanks to Rabbi Reuven Levy in his Garden of Emuna, part 8 audio lesson for this! Link:

http://www.breslev.co.il/vod/spirituality/spirituality/a_walk_through_the_garden_of_emuna_part_8.aspx?id=2391&language=english).

5. Take a walk. It’s a lot harder to think about anything superficial if you are going for a brisk walk. Your senses are now being given stimulation of movement, new sights, sounds, and smells. Go out for a cup of coffee. Walk the entire floor of the office. Simply go to the bathroom and throw water on your face.

It’s a challenge to keep our mind clear of bad thoughts. We don’t choose what our co-workers will wear today. We don’t choose what will be on the websites we check every day. We don’t choose who will be walking the street beside us, and what they will be wearing.

Once we sit down and our minds begin to make sense of these stimuli, what we can choose is how we will react to those thoughts that are forced upon us: do we embrace them, or do we push them away? It is a moment to moment battle with millions of small victories that can be claimed in a matter of minutes.
