Who is going to put an end to this injustice?
Sunday, January 6, 2019, 14:37 Honenu Attorney Adi Keidar, who is representing some of the minors in a case, of which the details have not yet been revealed, leveled criticism at the conduct of the GSS: “The timing for lifting the gag order from the case and the wording which the GSS chose are not coincidental. Shortly we will present to the public the facts which indicate that the suspects with whom we met are in no way connected to the case. There is no evidence linking them to the charges.
“Last night we met with the minors for the first time after a week during which they were prevented from meeting with an attorney. No Israeli citizen would allow youths to be interrogated in the State of Israel in the way that they described.
“The GSS wants to allow publication of the case. We are in favor. They should present the documentation from the interrogations and let the public judge.“The GSS is conducting the investigation by the ‘succeed’ method: They detain minors, put them in the GSS dungeons and separate them from the outside world. Did it succeed? [In extracting confessions] Great! It didn’t succeed? Then bring more minors [to the dungeons]. Maybe that will succeed. Who is going to put an end to this injustice?”
