Is Rouge Immodest? No

I have heard pious Jews claiming women’s rouge is immodest because it mimics the flush of desire, shame or drunkenness.

But see Shulchan Aruch Even Ha’ezer 73:3:

Although the Aruch himself speaks of a Kallah specifically.

And I recall there are other translations of “Serak”. (By the way, what is “חריע”?)
