Mainstream media websites now often ask readers to help them with “confidential tips”.
Why all of a sudden?
I have a theory: They’re feeling shouted down by anti-Establishment attitudes.
They don’t need your help for anti-government whistleblowing, because they are already spoonfed specific items at specific moments by self-interested competing forces from within the system (think: Bob Woodward’s anti-Nixon source, Carroll Quigley’s initial patrons, the anti-Netanyahoo political leakers, agency turf wars, etc.)
They don’t want more anti-government dirt, but anti-anti-government dirt, which they hope can give them longevity!
Yes, there’s a moral.
