Here is how it goes in the USA:
- When a Republican is in power, libertarians pretend to be Democrats, and Democrats pretend to be libertarian.
- When a Democrat is in power, libertarians pretend to be Republican, and Republicans pretend to be libertarian.
- Libertarians are never in power, so that’s where it ends.
Most modern democracies have two major parties, and the same probably applies there, too (except for Israel, where there is almost zero libertarianism, even as a joke).
