In connection with yesterday’s advice of telling the cops it is Arabs in danger, so they actually show up on time, I heard the following story from decades ago.
The famous “Rosner” fishmongers of Meah Shearim employed Arabs at one point. One day, one of these Arab workers lost his temper and attacked a Jewish customer with some sort of fish chopping implement. The coppers, when called, said they were coming “soon”. After several such “soon”s, someone had the bright idea of telling “Charuvei Karta” (read: Israeli cops) an Arab was being threatened by a Jew.
Our brave “guardians” were on the scene in a matter of minutes…
