The Recent Halacha Headlines Podcast on Keeping a Low Profile in Galus America

  1. Listening to Rabbi Moshe Walter was truly disturbing. Above and beyond the horrific nonsense — distorting “למה תתראו” to mean Galus Jews shouldn’t keep mitzvos publically (and besides, א”כ אין לדבר סוף), distorting the heter not to place a mezuzah in the city gates (strictly about vandalism), the loose language packed with stupid “synonyms” when discussing halacha, and of course, supporting מניחה על שלחנו ודיו, being mevatel the din of wearing a tallis (and tefillin on weekdays) to Shachris, the double-speak of being a “proud” while also downtrodden and fearful Jew — I was shocked these Jews still delude themselves one can keep the Torah outside the Holy Land.
  2. I thought the panel discussion about loyalty to Hashem in a goyish workplace (minute 39:47) was pretty good.
