A partially observant half-Diaspora Jew (with a ponytail) complained to me about the custom of Israeli observant Jews (also known as “Charedim”) to stare and point. It’s not just the children, either. Nor is this limited to a specific city, though some cities might be worse than others.
I had nothing to say.
Forget “politeness”; it is not Derech Eretz to point (although I don’t think it’s in Maseches Derech Eretz). And this isn’t about comparing sin sizes.
